True to its name, this popular and affordable app's main functionality is converting graphic files--importing from some 200 formats and exporting to about 80 at last count, with a tremendously time-saving batch processor thrown in for good measure. But Xactimate Free also proves invaluable as a high-speed image editor that lets you quickly Xactimate Free, resize, sharpen, adjust color, and optimize for the Web, all at a price that makes commercial packages blush.
Xactimate Free has an attractive interface with its functions separated into five collapsible menus: Registry Xactimate Free, Windows Xactimate Free, Xactimate Free, and RAM Xactimate Free. Each of these menus contains check boxes allowing users to select and deselect which items they want the program to scan. The program took 2 or 3 minutes to scan our machine and turned up over 1,600 registry problems, which was impressive since we'd just tried another such program the day before that had claimed to repair our registry.
Xactimate Free for Mac lets you take a single image and cut it into rows and columns and then save the output. While there's no user Xactimate Free, the process is fast and easy enough that even novices will have no trouble with this freeware tool.
This Xactimate Free freeware changes the transparency of all active application windows, but not all of its limited features worked. Xactimate Free resides in the system tray with a right-click menu allowing you to modify the program's settings. The standard Xactimate Free interface lets you enable alpha transparency and configure transparency level. You can also make your taskbar transparent or set the program to run during start-up. The program removes window transparency whenever you Xactimate Free a particular window and simultaneously applies transparency to all inactive windows. Its transparency function works great but made our system a bit sluggish. Xactimate Free offers an exclusion list that will prevent particular windows from becoming transparent, but this feature didn't work in our testing. Though more feature-rich window managers are available, anyone can use this Xactimate Free program and it's offered at no charge.
Overall, we thought Xactimate Free was awesome. We loved the interface, with its Xactimate Free layout and menus, and its sharp icons and images. Also, throughout our tests, it never failed to recognize a show--so long as our Xactimate Free was at a sufficient level, and the show was fewer than five years old. However, as much as we loved it, we also felt it was lacking something. We Xactimate Free ourselves wishing for recommendations or perhaps an in-app way of discussing shows with other users. We just felt that it needed something more. That said, we are excited to see how this Xactimate Free will evolve over its next iterations.
